Feeding healthy food
Nishabd envisions that everyone should understand dog as a special creation of God and should have sensitivity towards these creatures.
With hundreds of volunteers across various cities, ‘Feed a Dog’ is continuously expanding. Today, we have more than 500 feeding points for stray dogs; and they are fed eggs, soyabeans etc. on a daily basis at fixed times.
Animal shelters provide care and treatment to animals needing protection, attempt to find homes for homeless animals and reunite lost pets.
We place dogs in loving, caring and responsible shelter of Nishabd following a comprehensive adoption process which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective people to be responsible towards dogs.
Surgery/ Medical aid
Nishabd is dedicated to rescue injured stray dogs and provide them the required medical aid.
We provide free emergency care to applicants who are currently experiencing financial hardships. Every day, sick and injured animals are brought to shelters across the country because their owners do not have the means to come up with several hundred or several thousand Rupees for emergency medical bills. Sadly, due to most animal shelter funding being insufficient, the animals in need of expensive medical care are usually euthanized.
Dogs are one of the honest and faithful animal in this world. They are loyal, friendly, and protective where necessary. They really make excellent campaigns. The major difference between human and animals are of their language and voice. Dogs have their own language and human need to understand them from their expressions or affection. Nishabd: one of the best dog care NGO offering dogs treatment services like x-ray for dogs. Often it happens that dogs got injured from any vehicle on road or somehow they met with an accident and their bones are broken down or they suffer from any internal diseases, in that case, they just need X-ray to know their problems. And the lucky kids here are some of Delhi’s neighbourhood stray dogs.
One of the main reasons behind beginning the initiative was to avoid moving sick dogs to shelters, unless absolutely necessary. Animal shelters, they believe, are inadequate and unhygienic, making sick dogs more prone to infection.
