Leadership

Nishabd is not defined by infrastructure alone; it is defined by consistency. Rescue and rehabilitation demand patience, discipline, and emotional resilience. Every animal that comes into care carries a history of neglect or trauma, and restoring trust takes time. This work has reinforced my belief that compassion must be steady and informed — not reactive, not temporary.
At the heart of Nishabd lies a focus on responsibility. Awareness, when left unaccompanied by action, achieves little. Our efforts therefore extend beyond shelter and care to community engagement and sensitisation, encouraging people to recognise animal welfare as a shared obligation rather than an isolated concern.
This journey is also shaped by a broader understanding of social responsibility — one where education, empathy, and care intersect. A society that learns to respect life in all forms becomes inherently more humane. Nishabd reflects this belief through its daily work, quiet interventions, and sustained commitment to ethical care.
The strength of Nishabd lies in the people who stand behind it — caregivers who tend to animals every day, volunteers who give their time and energy, and supporters who believe in continuity over convenience. Their dedication forms the backbone of this mission and keeps it grounded in reality.
As Nishabd grows, so does the responsibility it carries. There are many lives still in need of protection and many attitudes that need gentle but persistent change. With purpose rooted in action and empathy guided by responsibility, Nishabd continues its work — thoughtfully, patiently, and with unwavering commitment.

Founder – Nishabd
At the heart of every meaningful initiative lies a simple yet powerful belief — that compassion, when guided by intent and action, has the ability to transform lives. Nishabd was born from this belief.
In a world that often moves too fast to notice the voiceless, Nishabd stands as a conscious reminder of our collective responsibility towards animals who depend entirely on human kindness for survival. This initiative is not just about care and protection; it is about restoring dignity, ensuring safety, and creating a humane ecosystem where every life is valued.
My vision for Nishabd has always been rooted in purpose rather than scale. True impact does not come from momentary efforts, but from sustained commitment, ethical responsibility, and community participation. Whether it is through food drives, shelter support, medical care, or sensitisation programmes, our aim is to build systems that create long-term change rather than temporary relief.
The journey of Nishabd is deeply intertwined with teamwork — the relentless efforts of volunteers, caregivers, veterinarians, and supporters who choose empathy over indifference every single day. Their dedication reinforces my belief that when intent is pure and actions are consistent, even the most silent causes find a strong voice.
While we take pride in what has been achieved so far, we remain aware that this is only the beginning. There are many lives still waiting for care, many minds yet to be sensitised, and many miles to go in building a more compassionate society.
Nishabd is not an organisation that speaks for animals alone — it speaks through action, responsibility, and shared humanity. Together, we continue this journey with humility, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to those who cannot speak for themselves.
Mr. Sanjay Gupta
Chairman – Nishabd
Nishabd was not conceived as a symbolic initiative, but as a structured response to a very real gap in how animal welfare is addressed around us. The absence of systems, continuity, and accountability often leaves well-intended efforts fragmented. Nishabd was envisioned to change that.
My role as a leader goes beyond managing institutions; it extends to shaping responsibility — towards society, towards communities, and towards lives that cannot advocate for themselves. Nishabd reflects this responsibility in action. It focuses on building reliable mechanisms for care, protection, and rehabilitation, rather than momentary interventions driven by emotion alone.
We believe that compassion must be organised to be effective. Our work is anchored in clearly defined processes — from rescue and shelter support to food drives, medical care, volunteer engagement, and public sensitisation. Each initiative is designed with measurable outcomes, ensuring that empathy translates into consistent and meaningful impact on the ground.
As development progresses, it is essential that ethical responsibility keeps pace. A society’s true progress is reflected not only in what it builds, but in how it treats its most vulnerable. Through Nishabd, we aim to foster awareness and participation, encouraging individuals and communities to take sustained ownership of animal welfare rather than viewing it as a peripheral concern.
What strengthens Nishabd is the discipline and commitment of the people behind it — caregivers, volunteers, professionals, and partners who believe in structured action and shared accountability. Their dedication allows us to scale responsibly while staying aligned with our core purpose.
We remain conscious that this journey is ongoing. The need is significant, and the responsibility even greater. With clarity, consistency, and compassion as guiding principles, Nishabd continues to evolve — not as a charitable effort alone, but as a long-term commitment to building a more humane and responsible ecosystem.
Mr. Utkarsh Gupta
Managing Director – Nishabd

Animal welfare cannot be addressed through intention alone. It requires awareness that leads to action, and action that is sustained with care and discipline. Nishabd focuses on nurturing this understanding by encouraging individuals and communities to move beyond sympathy and towards responsible involvement. Whether through care initiatives, volunteer participation, or awareness-building, the emphasis remains on thoughtful engagement rather than passive concern.
In today’s environment, where progress is often measured by speed and scale, it becomes even more important to pause and reflect on the impact of our actions. A humane society is shaped not by grand gestures, but by consistent values practised at home, in communities, and within institutions. Nishabd works to strengthen this mindset — helping people recognise that kindness, respect, and coexistence are essential elements of responsible living.
Change is most effective when it is demonstrated, not instructed. Families, caregivers, volunteers, and community members play a vital role in setting examples that influence attitudes towards animals and humane behaviour. By encouraging participation and shared ownership, Nishabd aims to create an environment where compassion is naturally translated into action.
What sustains this journey is the dedication of those who work quietly and selflessly — caregivers who provide daily care, volunteers who give their time, and partners who believe in long-term responsibility. Their commitment reinforces the purpose of Nishabd and strengthens its ability to create lasting impact.
As we move forward, we remain aware that this work demands patience, consistency, and humility. With compassion guided by responsibility, Nishabd continues its efforts towards building a more conscious, caring, and respectful society.
